I previously posted about our diaper rash issues and steps we tried to cure the never ending red rash. When I posted my struggles to our instagram account, I received the best advice yet from another mom blogger, @mommylexiloves.

She suggested creating a mix equal parts of Aquaphor, Destin and an antacid liquid (original or berry flavor is fine but no mint)
We happened to have a doctor's appointment that same day because we ran out of our nystatin ointment. The doctor confirmed the yeast infection was gone, and just suggested that we continue to use butt paste. We told her about the antacid recommendation, and she said she thought that sounded like a good idea too. I don't think she would have recommended it without us suggesting it.
On the way home my husband stopped at the store and purchase the ingredients. We mixed up the paste, and put it on, hoping it would help but keeping our expectations low because we had been dealing with ongoing diaper rash for months.
The next morning when we changed the first diaper it was a miracle. The rash was almost all gone. Within a few days it was 100% gone.
We were incredibly stressed out trying to get rid of that rash. I only wish we would have discovered this solution earlier! We have continued using it in the last two weeks, even though the rash has not come back yet. Hopefully using the paste mix as a preventative will help keep it away.
